Maurizio Piacenza

Maurizio is an art director and graphic designer.

Maurizio strives to stay true to this quote by Eric Meyer: “What matters in this life is not what we do but what we do for others, the legacy we leave and the imprint we make.” This is why he launched “Epilepsy? Cut it out!”, a fundraiser and communication campaign about surgery for epilepsy.

He believes that putting things — and people! — together is the best way to achieve effective results. “Connecting the dots” is in fact his motto.

He has been designing visual communication projects for more than 15 years, with a strong focus on type and details. Type and details can always make a difference. He is a co-organizer of Kerning Conference, an international conference about typography that takes place every year in Italy.

He is a supporter of lifelong learning: there’s always something new to learn.

Maurizio believes that graphic design can make the world a better place. He lives in Milan.
